European Union

The advantages and disadvantages of European Union

“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided”[i] The previously mentioned quotes are one of many quotes that show the importance of unity. Although being united has countless of benefits, one should not forget that “two captains can sink the ship”. In other words, there are numbers of disadvantages that unity can have.  A unity is a double-edged sword. For the sake of this essay, I would shade the light on the advantages and disadvantages of European Union.
The European Union is good for one’s country economy. By having a single currency, the stake brokers and other investors will not have to fear the fluctuations and the interest rate of their currency. By having a free trade zone, the 28 members of the union would be economically developed.
At one time of history, Greece had economically fallen behind. Suffice to say that Greece is a small, industrialized country, and if it wasn’t part of the union, it would be hard for them to get where they used to be. Fortunately, because they were part of the union, they were able to get financial help from other countries.
As for the disadvantages, taking into consideration the above mentioned example of Greece, how is it possible for a small productive country to keep up with a large productive country in the union, respectively? Since member countries cannot adopt political policies of its own, it would be difficult for Greece or any other small state to succeed competitively.
All in all, there are countless of advantages and disadvantages that EU has. Even if the misfortunes, by any chance, outnumbered the benefits, one should not be pessimist. It is always to wise to see the full half of a glass not the empty half of it.

should the govermnet legistate agaunist smacking children?

Smacking

Is the UK government correct to legislate against beating of children by parents?

It is believed that if government involve in families and their way to learn their children, it will impact on families negatively and  it claimed that government must not involve because how parents rebukes their children and it is up to the parents to do and set the satisfied punishment.

Should the Walsh Assembly legislate against smacking?

It is claimed that smacking is not a strong punishment such as beating and slapping so there no reasons to stop smacking and the government should not stop it because it is kind of light punishment to learn and deal with children.

How much do the government rules depend on which society/country/culture a person lives in?

Culture, country and the society are made the rules in the countries and it has strong influence to the decision of governments, for example government in an arabic culture will not pay attention for smacking, hitting, beating and slapping children because it is normal act that we brought up with if we do any mistakes and if we behave badly. So these four aspects has effects on the rules strongly and change many decision due to many factors such as education, religion and tradition.

The feeling of studying and living from Sep until Dec

UK Studies

1) Do you now feel differently about living and studying in the UK than you felt in September

To begin with this Question, when I came to Cardiff I lived in a hotel for a month and then I have moved to Newport city because I have not found any flats in Cardiff then I realise that flats is emptied in June every year. In addition, due to my address currently I feel unhappy and uncomfortable and I am looking forward to move to Cardiff to be easier to me to get to the university, because it takes one hour from Newport train station to Trefforest train station. On the other hand, it is believed that  after 10 classes absence suspended a student, is very  strict rules and it is much more which student can afford at least it is must be 15 classes and if any one imagine this situation they will comment and describe this rule as awkward and difficult to deal with. Moreover, it is thought that every student is a normal human which can face illness, certain circumstances and other excuses and it must been noticed that not every excuses has evidence, for example a student who is ill and he miss two studying days ,but he don't have excuse because he has not GP or has not register in health centre then the university mark him absent which is believed that kind of injustice. Nevertheless,  the staff have moved me from IFP group to IFPE group due to my request and thank a lot to them and I am grateful to them. I felt upset and disappointed when I was in IFP group because it was so hard to me and above my level and I can understand nothing but the students who I were with them are extremely nice, kind and friendly. Then when I moved to the other group I feel happy and satisfy because this level is hard not easy but is suitable to me.

In what ways do you think you have changed or not changed ?

Two months studying in the UK has learnt my how to be independent, hardworking, solve my problems independently and to be patient.

Is changing a good or bad thing ? why ?

Normally, changing would be good thing unless a person change from better to worse that obviously negative. In addition, changing is good way to deal with life and update our mind with different events and circumstances and naturally when a person get older and older is gained more experience and be expert who to deal with life and other people.

The most important issues is the time, first of all, in Qatar pupils are started their schools at seven o'clock and finish at one o'clock while in the UK pupils are began schools at nine o'clock and finish at four o'clock. It is believed that time is playing vital factor in pupils life because it reflect on their results, for example if a student do not organise his time he will faces problems during his studying and it is commented that started at nine o'clock is the best time to start the whole day.

Secondly, it is claimed that each school must have a special uniform to distinguish pupils. In the state of Qatar is compulsory to wear the traditional clothes for citizens and residents pupils. In the Uk pupils wear white t-shirt, dark blue pants and dark blue suite.

finally, subjects in the both countries are similar such as chemistry, physical, biology and mathematics. However, Islamic is only taught in Qatar, whereas the Christianity is taught in the UK. History's content different between the two countries due to the countries history and location.

In conclusion, it can be noticed that Qatar and UK are different from each other in staring and end time and uniform. Nevertheless, both Qatar and the UK have similar subjects. It would be better for pupils in Qatar to start later than seven o'clock because this is too early for students.

culture shock

Nowadays,  during the developed life and communities that is made travelling from a country to anther easier and faster within hours which sometimes cause culture shock for travellers. Culture shock is happened when a person see a big differences of people acting such as the way of eating, foods, the way to greet others, clothes, eduction and culture. It is considered that culture is felt due to immigration or a visit to a new country. This essay will give general view of culture shock.

One of the most common causes of culture shock involves individuals in a foreign environment. It is stated that travellers might faces an extremely awkward period of time when an languages is spoken without understanding that upset travellers and one causes of culture shock. In addition, in arabs countries due to their traditional, foods are eaten by using hand which others people who do not have this attitude feel this acting is informal. Also, many countries have special traditional clothes, for instance, in Qatar citizens wear (thoob, Qutra and oqal) for men, thoob is a long white dress covering the whole body and qutra with Oqal is put on the head.

In conclusion, it can be seen that clothes and foods the most obvious factors of culture shock. It would be better for public to have a background and knowledge for the country that is visited to avoid unfamiliar situation.

It claimed that immigration has treated positively on countries over the time and it has helped many countries to increase their economy, political and culture. This essay will argue  the advantages and disadvantages of immigration.

First of all, it is believed that immigrant workers with high skills that develop the countries in different issues such as health care, sports and others. For instance, Dubai has encouraged people all around the world to work in Dubai and contribute in urban renaissance which reflect positively on Dubai as a city and their citizens. Also, it is stated that immigration lead to interdependence of civilisation and it is given ideas and views of other cultures and communities which is extremely positive factor to avoid culture shock under some circumstances and make people live in peaceful life and tolerance. Moreover, during the last two decades immigration is the best solution for foreign citizens in few reasons as below:
